Marshall – Yellow Billed Amazon Parrot

Marshall – Yellow Billed Amazon Parrot or Red-throated Amazon (Amazona collaria) is local to the island of Jamaica and the West Indies occupying mid-level, wet limestone woodlands at rises up to 1,200 m. It is most plentiful in the John Crow Mountains, on Mount Diablo and in the Cockpit Country. In the rearing season it stays inside rainforest. They are known to fly significant distances to taking care of regions, including ocean level ranches. This parrot is presently seldom find in the wild and record as an imperil species because of natural surroundings obliteration and gathering of the youthful chicks for the pet exchange.

They are typically find two by two or little rushes, and most straightforward situate by call. This stout parrot midpoints 11 – 11.2 inches (28 cm) long, from bill to tail. It’s for the most part green with white facial markings. Essential coverts and primaries are blue. Optional plumes are dull blue. Iris brown and feet are pinkish/tissue tone. Head/Neck: The brow and eye region are whitish. The forecrown is a dull blue. The legends (the districts between the eyes and bill on a bird’s head) and upper cheeks are blue mix with white. The throat, lower cheeks and a few plumes on the bosom are rose-red, each quill being edge somewhat blue green. The ear coverts (feathers covering the ears) are blackish-blue. Its snout is yellow, its irises are brown.
